Your gateway to a new career as a holistic nutritionist

Do you have a passion for wellbeing and guiding others on their path to reach optimal health? Are you considering shifting to a new career? Do you believe in the healing power of natural nutrition to alleviate illness and improve lives? If so, Edison Institute of Nutrition’s Online Diploma in Holistic Nutrition program is your gateway to a new career as a holistic nutritionist.

At Edison Institute of Nutrition, you will receive a world class education from highly respected industry professionals. This qualifies you to practise as a holistic nutritionist.

The philosophy of holistic nutrition is that one’s health is an expression of the complex interplay between the physical, chemical, mental, and emotional, as well as spiritual and environmental aspects of one’s life and being.

Professionals who are trained in holistic nutrition view health and healing from a whole person perspective. Using education as a primary tool, holistic nutrition professionals emphasize the building of health by approaching each person as a unique individual.

This requires fully engaging the individual in their health recovery process and honoring their innate wisdom by working in an empowering and supportive manner to chart a course to optimal health.

Holistic nutrition professionals have advanced clinical education that enables them to make evidence-based health and wellbeing recommendations, coupled with health coaching skills that support and enhance client compliance.

Holistic nutrition education is science based, focusing on bio individuality, the science of food, nutrient composition, anatomy, physiology, and biochemistry. Holistic Nutritionists are well versed in researching, critical thinking, and building client counselor relationships. What is right for one is not for another, one size does not fit all.

Holistic Nutritionist – Different From A Health Coach

A wellness coach, or a health and wellness coach, is a supportive guide who helps clients set health goals to lose weight, improve energy, and manage stress. Health and wellness coaches do not provide nutritional assessments, prescribe specific meal plans or workout routines, and they do not recommend supplement support or lifestyle regimens. They act as a mentor to hold clients accountable.

A holistic nutritionist has extensive clinical education and knowledge that broadens their scope of practice beyond the limitations of a health coach certification that can often be acquired in a 6 ‑12-week course of 100 hours or so.

When you graduate from Edison Institute of Nutrition, you will hold a Diploma in Holistic Nutrition from an internationally recognized educational institution with 2000 hours of program curriculum that exceeds minimal educational standards set by the nutrition associations.

Upon graduation, you will be qualified to become a member of Canadian, American, and International nutrition associations with the option of becoming board certified.

This gives you everything you need to start your new career in the world of holistic nutrition.

Though we are based in Canada, our graduates practise in the United States, Singapore, United Kingdom, South Africa, United Arab Emirates, Taiwan, Hungary, Russia, France, New Zealand, Pakistan, Mexico, and many other countries.
