Lynne Hinton Edison Institute of Nutrition Director and Owner

Lynne Hinton, BSc, BEd, ROHP, CHCP is Co-Owner and Director of Education at Edison Institute of Nutrition. The Edison Institute is known for its comprehensive educational material available internationally online, including two texts authored by Lynne, Nutritional Symptomatology and Advanced Nutrition Practice. Edison Institute is proud to be “Training Nutritional Professionals Worldwide”.  Lynne is also Co-Owner of Health House Nutritional Consulting in Markham, ON. Health House provides nutrition seminars and information events for clients and practitioners; including the Nutritional Preceptorship Program.

Lynne also offers an comprehensive training in Darkfield Microscopy. Lynne’s teaching in the health field includes 16 years in the Canadian public school system and twenty years training health care professionals worldwide. As a lecturer and mentor, Lynne brings a very “hands on” practical approach to nutrition education.

Marlene Marshall

Education Director, CNP, ROHP, CHCP

Marlene Marshall, CNP, ROHP, CHCP is Co-Owner and Director of Education at Edison Institute of Nutrition. Marlene practices at her clinic, the Health House, in Markham Ontario and also is one of the most knowledgeable instructors providing 20 years of experience guiding the EIN students and graduates. Along with Biotherapeutic Drainage and Darkfield Microscopy, Marlene employs Psychosomatic Energetics (PSE testing) to dissolve the emotions that provoke chronic health issues.  Her combination of knowledge, compassion and the ability to listen makes her an approachable mentor for clients and a diverse network of practitioners.

Jennifer Bowerman

IT and Communications Specialist for the Edison Online Learning Platform

Jenn is a trained Graphic Artist graduating from the Tampa International Graphic Arts Academy and a graduate of the Dorsey Business School in Wayne, Michigan. She attended IHN and is the creator of the Edison Institute of Nutrition’s Online Learning Platform. She is the technical advisor and student support, focused on assisting students with technical questions or difficulty transitioning to an online learning program. Jenn is passionate about supporting the students to ensure a stress-free online learning experience. She is also involved in marketing, design and creation of the Edison Institute of Nutrition’s online presence. Jenn was drawn to the world of Holistic Nutrition after her son was diagnosed with Autism. She is an advocate for children on the spectrum. Jenn is a mother of two and a grandmother of an adorable little boy. 

Paul Demeda

Education Instructor, Holistic Nutritionist, CNP

Paul DemedaPaul is a practicing Holistic Nutritionist with a passion for empowering individuals to consciously and holistically manage their health. He teaches courses on Nutrition Fundamentals, Preventative Healthcare and Nutrition for Mental Health and conducts private workshops. Paul provides seminars highlighting content from the annual International Orthomolecular Medicine Today conference, on behalf of the Canadian Society for Orthomolecular Medicine. Paul has a passion for challenging conventional wisdom with the question, “is this really true?” and then looks for the evidence. 

Alisa Herriman

Education Instructor, RNCP, ROHP, CPCC, CHCP

Alisa is a Registered Nutritionist, Life Coach, Certified Cancer Coach and mom of 4, who has been actively consulting since 2004. As the founder of Nutrinity Health Services, she works with clients on an individual basis and in group format. Alisa enjoys teaching workshops and is a sought-after speaker for health and wellness events, Post-Secondary and Corporate settings. Alisa co-ordinates The Business of Wellness Consulting course for practitioners to enable them to build a solid foundation for a successful practice. Alisa also facilitates the Certified Holistic Cancer Practitioner Course at Edison Institute of Nutrition along with Lynne Hinton.

Jennifer Papaconstantinou

Student Liaison, C.N.P., N.N.C.P.

Jennifer Papaconstantinou C.N.P., N.N.C.P. is a graduate of the Institute of Holistic Nutrition as Valedictorian with First Class Honours. In addition to her Nutrition training, Jennifer participated in a Mentorship program, studying the philosophies and teachings of Dr. Bernard Jensen, as well as completing certification courses in Clinical Iridology, Live Blood Cell Microscopy and B.A.S.E. Allergy Therapy.

Jennifer is an energetic and dynamic nutritional professional and is the founder of H.E.A.L. Naturally Holistic Health a Nutritional Consulting practice which offers complimentary therapies & evidence-based clinical nutrition which harmonize the beliefs and practices of a balanced approach to lifelong health. She decided to pursue her passion as a Health Educator after successfully experiencing first-hand, the profound effects of improved diet & lifestyle within her own family of four beautiful children! 

Gilda Rovan

Curriculum Advisor and Instructor, BA, RNCP, ROHP, DIHom(Pract)

Gilda is a Registered Orthomolecular Holistic Practitioner, a graduate of the British Institute of Homeopathy, and a Certified Biotherapeutic Drainage Practitioner. She is in private practice in North York, ON, since 1997. Gilda uses dietary and lifestyle changes, supplements, essential oils and homeopathic remedies in conjunction with Auricular Therapy, Drainage and BEAM Energetic support to help her clients move toward a state of optimal health and well-being. She is co-owner and speaker for the Nutritional Preceptorship Program, has lectured to numerous groups, taught nutritional practicums and appeared on the “Erin Davis Show”, “Michael Coren Live” and Talk TV”.

Gilda is currently involved in the review and evaluation of program curriculum and is an Instructor in the Edison Institute of Nutrition Online Program. She is also is involved in social media design and marketing for Edison and the Nutritional Preceptorship Program. Gilda began studying Holistic Nutrition after her husband was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. As a result of protocols using natural healthcare remedies, he has been in remission since 2003. Gilda is the mother of two and grandmother of three amazing boys.

David Rowland

David RowlandDavid Rowland is a leading edge innovator in alternative medicine, the founder of the holistic nutritional consulting profession in Canada, and a court recognized expert in complementary medicine. Sue Skillins

Education Instructor, Curriculum Development, CNP, CHCP, NNCP, Live Cell Microscopist

Sue is a believer that, “life and healing come from within, where the promotion and maintenance of health is superior to the treatment of disease.” She returned to the Institute of Holistic Nutrition, after many years in multidisciplinary holistic health care, graduating with First Class Honours earning a designation of Certified Nutritional Practitioner. Susan then specialized in Live Cell Microscopy, using this modality allows her to explore the “terrain” of the blood with a single drop and a Darkfield Microscope. In identifying the blood’s strengths and weaknesses and addressing nutritional deficiencies contributing to dis-ease she promotes optimal health with each client. Live Blood Cell Analysis is “life in its truest form”. Susan offers Nutritional Consultations at the Holistic Healthcare Center in Maple. Her recommendations include dietary changes, supplementation and guidance to promote health, healing and recovery from the inside out!  Susan is an education instructor, curriculum developer of the Nutrition and Aging course and a very insightful  Case Study Mentor of SYMP1and SYMP2 practicum offered at Edison Institute of Nutrition. In collaboration with Lynne Hinton, she has co-created The Practitioner’s Toolkit, a Continuing Education course designed to equip graduates with the knowledge and utilization of Professional Line supplements. In her spare hours, Susan loves spending time with her two granddaughters, three children and her cat Batman.
