Freedom to Practice

A certificate or diploma from EIN is not a license to practice nutrition. In the United Kingdom, Canada and most of the United States, nutritional consulting is an unregulated profession; no license or registration is required in order to practice, under common law.

A number of states in the U.S. have restricted the practice of nutrition. In such jurisdictions there may be local or state laws that affect what you call yourself and how you share the information you have received from your learning experience. EIN specifically disclaims any responsibility for qualification for any specific local or state law that may govern such practice.

It would be best to consult with the National Association of Nutritional Professionals (NANP), a U.S. organization that offers the opportunity for members to write the board exam in holistic nutrition for the designation Board Certified in Holistic Nutrition. www.nanp.org or call 877-526-5340
