Introductory Program

The Introduction to Holistic Nutriton Program is for everyone who is interested in their own health and the health of their family.

This program can be customized to the individual. The parent, the grandparent, the athlete, the young, the middle aged, and the young at heart will find what you are looking for in the elective subject selection.

The elective subjects include: Pediatric Nutrition
Nutrition & Aging
Nutritional Cardiology
Body-Mind Nutrition
Sports Nutrition

This program may also be used by current health care professionals who want to use the subjects for upgrading hours to maintain membership in professional organizations.

Another Advantage
All of the subjects in the Introduction to Nutrition program are counted as credits toward the career programs. This means that if you want to continue learning and want to turn your education into a career you have a head start.

The Program
The program includes four base subjects plus your choice of one elective subject. We know that once you start learning you will want to keep learning, so we have made the remaining elective subjects available to you at an additional cost.

When you complete the Introduction to Holistic Nutrition program you will receive a certificate of completion.

Fees Structure
A $500.00 flat fee includes all your text books, shipping, and tuition fees for the four base subjects plus your choice of one elective subject for a total of five subjects. Additional electives subjects are available to you for a flat rate of $110.00 per additional subject which inludes the text book(s), shipping, and tuition fees.

How long does the program take?
That depends on you! How fast you can comprehend and absorb information and how much time you have to spend on the program.

The program will take approximately 216 hours. Each subject is assigned a value in units. One course unit is equal to 13.5 course hours. Therefore the five subject, 16 unit, program is equal to 216 course hours.

If you study part-time at only 8 hours per week you will complete the program in 27 weeks. That’s just a little over 6 months.

If you study full-time at 26 hours per week you will finish in less than 9 weeks. That’s just a little over 2 months.

What if I can’t finish the program on time?
A time extension may be granted to allow you to have more time to complete the program. There are no additional fees for a time extension. If at anytime during your program you anticipate a delay in your studies just call or write and we will help.

Materials will be shipped by Canada Post Expedited Parcel which will take 2-7 days from the processing of your application form.
