Admission Standards

Certificate (Level I) - Certificate in Holistic Nutrition

Students without high school or equivalency may enroll in the Certificate program. They may not proceed to the Diploma Programs until secondary school graduation or equivalency has been achieved and documented - unless they qualify for mature student status (See ‘Mature Student Status’ below).

Practitioner (Level II) - Diploma in Holistic Nutrition
Masters (Level III) - Masters Diploma in Nutrition

Student's accepted into the Diploma Programs (a) must have a high school graduation diploma (grade XII) or its equivalency as demonstrated by satisfactory completion of the General Education Development (GED), and (b) must provide documentation of this achievement on enrollment. Mature student status may be granted (See ‘Mature Student Status’ below).

Students accepted into the Masters Diploma Program (Level III) must have completed the Level I and Level II programs at EIN or the equivalent of all subjects in Levels I and II of the EIN curriculum plus transcripts from the institution where they received prior education. Those subjects deemed, at EIN's sole discretion, not to have been completed elsewhere must be completed at EIN as part of the student's Level III Program. In such cases, candidates for the Level III will be required to complete a customized program consisting of Level III subjects plus a uniquely specified number of subjects from Levels I & II. Those who have prior education in nutrition or related fields may have relatively few subjects to include from Levels I and II, depending on their unique circumstances.

Mature Student Status

Mature student status may be granted to anyone who is (1) over age 19, (2) has not been in full time attendance at any school for at least three years, and (3) completes the program at EIN with a minimum "B" grade in each subject.

Advanced Standing

Transfer credit may be awarded for post-secondary courses completed by the student at other institutions, provided that such courses are found to meet EIN's standards and the requirements of the specific program, at EIN's sole discretion. Students wishing to apply for transfer credit must have the issuing institution send official transcripts directly to EIN.

Transferring to Other Institutions

Other institutions may or may not accept transfer credit for subjects completed at EIN, depending on their particular policies. We recommend that you speak directly with the college or university you plan to attend, to determine their requirements. EIN will, upon your written request, provide for that institution an official transcript of your record at EIN.
